Think BIG's premiere service. There is no other form of fishing we take more pride in than chasing BIG RED. The foundations of this business were forged through our dedication to this species. When you hear the words THINK BIG it is large Western Port Snapper we are talking about.

This exclusive service is designed for clients who may have had experience with Snapper over past seasons, who now have learnt the virtue of patience & wishs to move up to the next level in their fishing.

These trips are a dedicated sessions that are often 8 to 12hours in duration & require a focussed mindset for it to be enjoyed. We dont spend hours reeling in fish, no, we spend hours teaching you how to pay attention to detail and tuning your traps to perfection so as you can snare a dream. We teach you how to hunt them, tempt them and stay connected. If you think you are paying to come and catch then this charter IS NOT FOR YOU. These fish need to be treated with much more respect than school fish if you want to understand them and catch them. You need to learn to resist the urge to go and catch typical spring schoolies 3 to 7kgs. You must come open minded and listen, watch and learn if you want a real shot at an unforgettable encounter with Melbourne's finest - BIG RED.

We generally have smaller groups of up to 4 clients for these special charters. Winga is always looking for an invite & is usually more than happy to come if he has the time and you invite him. If he's not on charter with you then you can bet he will be on the water during this time also hunting down that trophy of a lifetime. Rather than place up dates & pricing for these trips, we want to put together a short list of interested clients of 12 or so who are commited, focussed, genuine & willing to be available at short notice for when the best bite/weather opportunities arise. This is a lot to ask from our end & we fully understand that many clients have a busy schedule with work & family etc. However there is a select group of people who dream of seeing that initial knock on rod, before watching it fold over & hearing that reel scream as a big male knobber snapper throws it's weight about. Then speeds off & with those unforgettable big hard tail & head thumps as the fight ensues... finally to watch it slowly surface & then have it appear in front of you, all 1mtr or more of a true ghost of Western Port.

We'll have a limit of just 12-20 clients who'll be shortlisted for these trips by both Winga & Shaun. As there is only a short window between daily charters & other commitments for these Trophy BIG RED Charters we must keep these numbers down to a minimum. We must also be emphasized that like many other forms of Trophy Hunting but particulary BIG RED, success is never guaranteed & there will be fishless charters, This is the nature of this sport as we are talking about fish that are 20-50years old minimum & have seen it all over the years & become very wary & very select as to when they feed. We aim to do our utmost on these Special sessions to have you hook & land your very own Melbourne Snapper over 20lb & will go the extra yards in assisting you to acquire this very hard & enviable fishing achievement.
